Exploration pushes the boundaries of knowledge in the quest to experience the infinite. Explorers are seekers - - seekers after answers to their curiosity. They are people with a purpose who go where they must to find answers. -Milbry C. Polk

Dedicated to honoring and preserving the contributions of women explorers, working in all fields of study past and present, WWQ recognized the need for a centralized and comprehensive reference collection documenting their work.

The Wings Library is the first free online database of books and other reference materials documenting women's contributions to world knowledge through exploration. The database will allow people easy access to information on the range of materials produced by and about these women. The library is cross referenced to the EXPLORERS database and the EXPEDITIONS database. This reference Bibliography will ensure that the valuable documentation of current and future explorers and their pursuits is not lost or overlooked.

WINGS invites you to contribute to this database. Through ongoing universal collaboration we can build an incredible archive, which will have many applications.
